This piece was created while I was writing a paper on how anonymity online affects behavior. During my research, I explored how people adopt different personas depending on the online spaces they inhabit. I found that the closer these spaces align with a person’s real-life identity, the more reserved they tend to be. Conversely, the further removed these spaces are from their real identity, the less inhibited they become, expressing themselves with greater freedom.
